Announcement And Activities

Hospitalization Services & Information
Patient

Please contact our staff at the Specialist Clinis's Reception Counter for information on admission from 7.00 am - 9.00 pm.

Admissions after these hours are to be performed at our Accident and Emergency Unit located with the Polyclinic section.

* For Surgical Patients

- If you have a minor surgery scheduled on the day of the admission, please check-in to the hospital 4 hours prior to the surgery time.
- If you are undergoing a major surgery, you are required to be admitted one day before the surgery.

*Deposit

Upon admission, you will be required to pay a deposit and you may do so by cash or credit card, or present a Guarantee Letter of the panel companies accepted by the hospital.

* Valuables

Patients are reminded not to keep a large sum of money, jewellery and other valuables during their stay in the hospital, as the hospital cannot be held responsible for the loss of any of these items.

*Visiting Hours

Visitors are allowed until 10.00 pm. Children below 12 years old are not encouraged to visit for infection control purposes.

*Discharge

Your doctor will certify when you are to be dischrged. We need a lead time of about one to two hours to process your prescriptions and bills. When the bill is ready, the ward staff will inform you and a discharge slip will be given for you to settle your bill. You are to be briefed by our staff in charge regarding the drugs prescribed to you and any message from the doctor for you before leaving the hospital. Your identification bracelet will also be removed one you are due to leave.

*Check-Out Time

The hospital check-out time is 12:00 noon. At 12.00 noon until 2:00 pm, you will be charged with half day rate. After 2:00 pm, you will be charged with a full day rate. The time of the discharged will be taken according to your real discharged time.

*Follow-Up

Before you leave the hospital, an appointment may be scheduled for you. When you are due for the next appointment, please bring along the appointment card.

SALAM is strategically located in the largest industrial area in Malaysia (Shah Alam Industrial Estate). We can easily be assessed through the following routes:

  • KL - Klang Federal Highway
  • Ekspressway Lingkaran Tengah (ELITE)
  • Kesas Highway
  • Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong
  • New Klang Valley Expressway
  • Guthrie Highway

 

* Visitor Hours

Our visiting hours are as follows :


Ward
10.00am - 10.00pm

High Dependency Unit (HDU)
11.00am - 2.00pm
5.00pm - 8.00pm

  • These times are designed so that patients would be able to rest between episodes of investigation and treatment
  • Visitors are advised to register and obtain visitor pass after 9.30pm from the security personel at A&E services.
  • Children below 12 years old are discouraged to visit patients unless they remain under adult supervision.

 

* Overnight Stay

Relatives and/or visitors who wish to stay overnight may request for a lodger bed to be placed in the patient's room. This facility is available only for Single Rooms and is chargeable upon request. Please inquire the staff nurse on duty should you need assistance.

* Smoking

The hospital observes a strict "NO SMOKING" code of practice within its premises following the Ministry of Health regulations.
