Hiking At Broga Hill

On 20th June 2010, SALAM CLUB carried out a sweating and cool outdoor activity, hiking at Broga Hill.

 

This activity was initiated by the coordinator of “SALAM Fat Burn & Fitness Program” as one of the activity that can help to improve fitness level of the participants.  Broga hill was chosen as the best place to implement a hiking program for the first time due to its location and scenic view. Located at Semenyih, Broga hill is about 1.7 km in height and there are roughly three peeks which located quite near to each other.

The main intention of this expedition is to create a healthy lifestyle among staffs through this interesting and enjoyable activity, besides to enjoy the great atmosphere, fresh mountain air and excellent view during the sun rise.

About 20 members of SALAM Club joined this activity. By the spirit of teamwork, all participants have successfully reached the peak of the hill in an hour time just in time to witness the sun rising.

 

After watching the sun rise and had their breakfast that they brought with them, the team hiked themselves down Broga Hill with full of satisfaction and great experience to share with others.


 


Hiking is an inexpensive way to get out and take a break from our daily monotonous lifestyle. The health benefits of hiking are both mental and physical. The most common benefits are:

          Weight loss.

          Decrease in blood pressure

          Helps prevent osteoporosis by improving bone density.

          Relieves back pain.

          Relieve stress.
